Laser Work
Whilst having a Laser machine onsite, we are one of the very few jewellery repair workshops in Essex to provide this specialised service. We can perform tricky laser repairs to antique jewellery without needing to remove the stones. The laser beam is so localised. This allows us to work very close and not damage heat sensitive stones. The original patina of the jewel remains. Even the most treasured jewellery and family heirlooms can be laser repaired without fear of heat damage to the jewellery. The finished laser repair is so small it is virtually invisible. While some older jewellery repair methods can change the look of items of jewellery, laser welding retains the same appearance.
Laser welding of precious metals offers high quality invisible joining in platinum, palladium, gold, silver, titanium and other jewellery metals. Using filler wires of the same material, strong joints can be achieved without compromising quality or speed. Repair of damaged jewellery without removing heat-sensitive stones makes the task easier and faster by laser. Typical applications for laser welding in the jewellery workshop include:
